To be honest I’ve heard different things. Some evidence suggests that it’s better to work out in the morning and you burn more calories because you push yourself harder and have more energy. Others say it doesn’t matter what time of day it is, if you’re sweating and moving your body you’re burning calories. Having said that - there are some benefits of morning workouts - you’re more likely to stick to it, it gives you energy for the day, some say it regulates your appetite for the day and boosts your metabolism. There’s so much info on google that could give you a better idea of what might be true. Obviously with everything there are pros and cons but I would recommend working out in the morning - not necessarily to burn extra calories but for the other benefits. If you struggle to get up early though any exercise is better than no exercise. Hope that helps x
